The Isle of May

\imageimageimageimageimage

The isle of May is a little island from afar but once close and personal with these birds you can see the abundance of them. On the isle of may there are more or less a quarter of a million seabirds and 90 thousand puffins!!! When I was there Terns (a very protective seabird) dive-bombed us but, once past that the trails that led across the island led us to coves filled with many breeds of birds! My advice is the following: If you go there, bring a hat and binoculars!

The Pont du Gard is a Roman Aqueduct build around 19 B.C. and the second tallest remaining roman structure after the Coliseum at 161 feet. At the Pont du Guard you can swim in the river or hike for miles, the possibilities are endless! The river is freezing cold but some people jump straight in.( Unlike some people I know!!!!!)

A macaron is a sweet meringue-based confection made with eggs, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond powder or ground almond, and food colouring. The macaron is commonly filled with ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two biscuits. I love macarons because they are so small yet so delicious!!!!
